Convicted DUI 1st offense in state of KY. Current KY resident. Driver license suspended for 120 days but now have "hardship license" w/ limited driving priveledge during suspension period. Also mandatory in KY must take 10 DUI alcohol classes 1 per week. I am halfway through license susupension. I need to relocate to state of MN for a new job. KY says I can transfer remaining alcohol classes in MN. Once clear I should be able to apply for full MN driver license. IE no need to return to KY. Is this wise? Can MN try to slap me with an MN laws which may be more harsh than KY. My concearn is by going to MN with limited or no driving priveledge I may be walking into a "mine field" and hurt myself. On the other hand I am not sure if my employer will wait untill mid June for me to finish down here. Is this a big deal or not? How should I proceed. I really am not allowed to condense my classes it must be 1 per week for 10 weeks by KY law.
